Walia Binte Tarique is currently a PhD candidate in the school of photovoltaic and renewable energy engineering (SPREE), UNSW Sydney, under the supervision of Prof. Ashraf Uddin and Prof. Bram Hoex. She completed her bachelor’s degree in physics from Khulna University, Bangladesh.

She received her master’s degree from the department of Physics, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh. During her MSc, she investigated on multilayer metal oxide thin films and was awarded “National Science and Technology Fellowship,” Bangladesh. Currently, her research focuses on the enhancement of the performance and stability of organic solar cells.
