Xutao Wang is currently a PhD student under Prof. Bram Hoex and Prof. Gavin Conibeer in the School of Photovoltaic and Solar Energy Engineering (SPREE), UNSW Sydney. From 2016, he majored in Functional Materials in the School of Material Science and Engineering, Tianjin University (TJU), China, and received his Bachelor’s degree in 2020. In 2022, he completed his Master’s degree of Engineering Science in Photovoltaic and Solar Energy in UNSW and received an “Excellence Award” with overall WAM higher than 90. His master’s thesis is about the optimization of silicon space solar cells. Currently, his research interests are about the performance improvement of commercial terrestrial solar cells, such as the Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) solar cells, as well as improving radiation resistance of silicon space solar cells by increasing carrier lifetime in the bulk and surface.
