Tong Xie is currently a PhD candidate in the school of Photovoltaic and Renew able Energy Engineering (SPREE), UNSW Sydney. In 2020, he completed his bachelor degree (Honours) of Engineering in Monash university (Australia) and bachelor degree of Engineering in Central South University (China). His undergraduate thesis was the ion diffusion mechanisms within perovskite solar cell. Now, his research lies in development of high-efficiency solar cells, focusing on investigating passivating contact materials through atomic layer deposition (ALD) and advanced machine learning methods, Quantitative Nanostructure – Activity Relationship (QNAR) modelling with combination of density functional theory (DFT) calculation.
