Chuka2.jpgChuka is a PhD student in the school of Photovoltaics and Solar Energy Engineering in UNSW where he is conducting research on advanced hydrogenation on next-generation solar cells with passivated contacts. He completed his masters degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology Abu Dhabi, where he worked on surface passivation using ALD grown Al2O3 films for mono-crystalline silicon solar cells. Outside research, Chuka is interested in mini-grid/ off-grid development using renewables, and has some experience in this area, having worked with an energy consulting company as well as a solar installation start-up in Nigeria.
