Chen Qian is a PhD candidate in School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering in UNSW. He completed his bachelor in Central South University in China on 2015 and Master in UNSW on 2018. Thesis topic for Master is the relationship between wind and performance of floating PV farms.

Through previous work, he generated great interest in thin film solar cells, particularly those compounded by earth-abundant and environment-friendly materials.
