Alvin Mo is a PhD candidate under Prof. Bram Hoex and Dr. Murad Tayebjee in School of Photovoltaic and Solar Energy Engineering (SPREE) in UNSW. In 2020, he received an “Excellence Award” for his performance in Master degree of Engineering Science in Photovoltaic and Solar Energy in UNSW. His research interest is the implementation of singlet fission to photovoltaics devices and break the Shockley-Queisser limit. His current work is focusing on the investigation of carrier transport layer in singlet fission sensitised silicon solar cell by using atomic layer deposition (ALD). ALD can fabricate a very thin and uniform layers at an atomic scale, hence, it is ideally suited to optimise the carrier transport layer for singlet fission sensitized silicon solar cells.
